Getting Ready To TravelTalk
To take advantage of the TravelTalk feature you will first need to:
- Make sure your phone is TravelTalk compatible.
- Call 888.8metro8 or visit a MetroPCS store to add the FREE TravelTalk® feature to your account.
Before you go
Once you have added the TravelTalk feature to your account, you can travel at any time. Each time you travel, however, there are a few very important steps you must take to ensure a successful TravelTalk experience:
- While in your MetroPCS home coverage area, dial *228, option 2, to update your phone's traveling capabilities.
- Change your phone's setting to "Roam" (Automatic). Please refer to your phone manual for instructions on how to change your phone's setting, or visit metroPCS.com.
- Verify that you have sufficient funds in your metro.connect account.
Upon returning to your MetroPCS home coverage area, you will need to:
- Change your phone's setting back to "Home" to avoid unnecessary TravelTalk charges.
